Liked the day tours that were planned and guided by our guide Gayle

Our “destination specialist “ did not have enough knowledge about the area that we traveled. We spent HOURS EACH DAY in the car traveling back and forth across the region to the destinations we were to see. We absolutely should have stayed in 2 locations while in Normandy. Our local guide was very surprised about the crazy waste of time driving After we were in France the specialist disappeared even though I repeatedly asked to speak with her
We had 2 days completely off itinerary from poor communication between Firebirdtours and the local tour company. We had to make our own plan.
We did love the Hotel. it was beautiful with wonderful service but I was not aware that it was so far from anything. It cost 16 Euros EACH WAY to town each evening for dinner and we had to wait for a cab sometimes 30 minutes.
I think Firebirdtours needs to have better communication between agents and guides. Really impersonal and confusing.
Anna did do her best to make things right and I am grateful for that.
